Comprehensive Guide Series
Planning ahead can help reduce stress by making sure you and others know what to do in the event of a change in the condition of the person you are caring for. Join us in creating your own comprehensive plan; gathering and organizing personal and legal documents; and discussing your wishes to help you be prepared for your future. There will be four sessions, each covering different topics, led by Family Caregivers Center volunteers Laura Sagers and Paula Burgmeier, as well as Attorney Mark Van Heukelom. Watercolor Art
Caregivers and those who have a chronic condition are invited to a fun and relaxing art series. Use watercolor paint and watercolor pencils to say good bye to summer and hello to autumn. No experience necessary. All materials will be provided although you are welcome to bring your favorite supplies. Stroll and Shine
Start your week with an outdoor casual 30-minute half mile walk. Enjoy: Fresh air and gentle exercise. Friendly conversation. A positive start to the week. All ability levels are welcome! Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle. Meet outside the front doors under the archway. (In case of in climate weather, we plan to walk inside.) Together in Song Chorus
The Together in Song Chorus is a fun, low-pressure chorus for individuals living with chronic conditions, their care partners, and volunteer singers. Together in Song brings together individuals of all skill levels and musical backgrounds with the goal of providing social connection, meaning and purpose. Practices will be Thursdays September 3-Oct-29 and Tuesday Nov. 3. Concerts will be Thursday, Nov. 5 at 2:30 pm and Friday, Nov. 6 at 2:30 pm.
