• TRACERS: From Iowa to Space—Unlocking the Mysteries of the Sun and Earth

  This spring, a pair of NASA research satellites will take flight into space, marking the start of a groundbreaking mission led by the University of Iowa. Ahead of the scheduled spring 2025 launch, you’re invited to join Iowa’s space scientists for a special virtual event that will take you behind the scenes of the university’s largest-ever research endeavor, known as TRACERS. Hear from members of the TRACERS research team who developed the satellites’ scientific instruments to student space weather. These Iowa experts will give you an inside look at how they brought the mission from the laboratory at Van Allen Hall to the launch pad at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
