<p>Get ready, because the Medallion Hunt is back in 2025! Every year, the Freedom Festival hides a special Medallion somewhere in the Cedar Rapids Metro area, and this year, it could be yours! The Medallion is a unique acrylic disc featuring the official design of this year’s festival.</p>
<p>The hunt kicks off with 10 exciting clues, each bringing you closer to the hidden treasure! The first clue will be released on May 19th at 6 AM, with a new clue posted every day. Solve the clues, find the Medallion, and you could win a $500 Hy-Vee gift card! Clues will be on our website and Facebook page. When the Medallion is found, it will be notifed on facebook. </p>

<p><strong>Medallion Hunt Tips:</strong></p>

<p>The Medallion will NOT be underground - no digging necessary. </p>

<p>The Medallion will NOT be in any type of electrical or other meter or equipment - Please stay away from all utility fixtures, you will not find the Medallion there.</p>

<p>The Medallion WILL be hidden outside and on public land that is accessible to all.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Please respect public land - although the Medallion is not going to be in plain sight, you will NOT have to damage property to retrieve it. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Please respect all applicable hours of operations in public parks and green spaces and any other posted rules</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>The Cedar Rapids Metro area includes: Marion, Hiawatha, Ely, Palo and Fairfax.</p>

<p>Another Freedom Festival favorite is back in 2025! Our Tribute to Heroes Breakfast will be returning to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum on July 1st! Doors will open at 7:30 AM. The ceremony and breakfast will begin at 8 AM and will conclude at 9 AM. Following the ceremony, join us outside the Vets Building for our Flag Raising Ceremony on Mays Island!</p>
<p>Our Tribute to Heroes event is designed to celebrate the remarkable contributions of local heroes who have made a positive impact on the lives of others. From courageous first responders to compassionate volunteers, these individuals embody the spirit of unity and resilience that defines the community.</p>
<p>We will select 3 community heroes to honor at our Tribute to Heroes Breakfast!</p>
<p><strong>Entry: The Breakfast is a ticketed event to attend. The Flag Raising Ceremony following the Breakfast is free to attend.</strong></p>

<p>We’re bringing the Pancake Breakfast downtown! Start your 4th of July off right with the Freedom Festival Pancake Breakfast at the Veterans Memorial Building to fuel yourself for a day full of celebrations! The breakfast will kick off at 8 AM in the Coliseum and conclude at 11 AM. Meals will be $10.00 (save $5.00 if you have a Freedom Festival button!) with kids 5 and under eating free! Finalized breakfast menu coming soon!</p>
<p>Join us prior to the breakfast for <a href="https://www.freedomfestival.com/calendar/yoga">Yoga on the Island</a> kicking off at 7 AM! After the breakfast, enjoy the <a href="https://www.freedomfestival.com/calendar/carshow" target="_blank">Freedom Festival Car Show</a> happening on 1st Street SW from 8 AM - 12 PM. <a href="https://www.freedomfestival.com/calendar/celebration" target="_blank">Celebration of Freedom</a> festivities will begin at 12 PM at McGrath Amphitheatre!</p>
