USA Fencing has chosen 40 fencing centers across the country to host Fencing Across America events, and the Iowa City Fencing Center is one of them. This free event will showcase foil, epee, and saber fencing, and allow visitors to suit up and try a few touches themselves.
If you have always wondered about the Olympic sport of fencing, come to the Iowa City Fencing Center, 415 Highland Avenue, Suite 200, Iowa City and have fun discovering the fun and excitement of fencing on Saturday, July 26th between 6 and 8 pm.
Fencing is a lifetime sport, so people of all ages can participate. The Iowa City Fencing Center has fencers competing at every age level, including 70 years and up, so everyone is welcome to give fencing a try. All fencing equipment is provided; participants just need to wear long, comfortable pants, a t-shirt, and athletic shoes.
