Cedar Amateur Astronomers free public night
On April 26, 2025, at the Eastern Iowa Observatory and Learning Center, Cedar Amateur Astronomers presents: "What Causes the Northern Lights and How to Predict When They will Occur." University of Iowa graduate research assistant Jodie McLennan will discuss this fascinating topic. The evening begins at 8 PM and the presentation lasts about an hour. Guests are welcome to stay and view the marvelous objects in the Iowa night skies at the conclusion of the discussion (weather permitting). The evening is free and no reservation is required and is also available on Zoom.
