Touch a Truck

Join us for a free, interactive outdoor family adventure that lets attendees of all ages explore and discover! Attendees will also enjoy food, music, and activities!

Over 40 large vehicles all in one place! Emergency, agriculture, construction, military, manufacturing, service vehicles and more. Six food trucks too!

Date & Time: August 10, 2024, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm (11:00-12:00 will be dedicated to attendees needing a sensory safe experience. We are asking for no lights, sirens, or horns for the first hour.)

Location: Kirkwood Community College Campus (Main entrance of Kirkwood, parking lot north of Linn Hall)

Participation Cost: Free.
Attendees: This is a community-wide family-friendly event open to all ages.

Our Touch a Truck event has several goals:
1. Spread awareness about The Arc of East Central Iowa
2. Create a safe and positive family-friendly event.
3. Showcase industries, companies and services that contribute to the greater Cedar Rapids economic environment.
4. Raise some money to support Arc programs and services.
