Lincoln Highway Arts Festival

The 18th Lincoln Highway Arts Festival is Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 am - 4pm on Mount Vernon's Main Street. In addition to 30+ artists selling jewelry, pottery, paintings and more, the festival offers children's activities, food trucks and live music. The festival opens with an original poem by Mount Vernon Poet Laureate Amelia Kibbie. Music by The Laid Back Band, Low & Away and Asking for a Friend is offered throughout the day. Giant puppets by the Uplifting Puppet Company and pottery demonstartions by the Iowa Ceramic Center are also part of the mix. Children's activities include butterflies and fairy wands.
