Event Description
The Parkinson’s Foundation will host “Learn More. Live Better. Parkinson’s Symposium”, an in-person free program, on Saturday, April 12 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm CT at The Highlander Hotel in Iowa City, IA. This program is presented in collaboration with the University of Iowa Health Care, a Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence. It will feature expert speakers Elizabeth Stegemoller, PhD from Iowa State University, and Ergun Uc, MD and Nandakumar Narayanan MD, PhD from the University of Iowa Health Care.
Program Description: Living with Parkinson’s can be challenging, but there are many things you can do to maintain and improve your quality of life. This program provides information to help you find the balance between a proactive approach and wondering what lies ahead. Before the program starts at 10:00 am, a Resource Fair will be offered from 9:00 am – 10:00 am featuring local Community Partners that provide services and support for the Parkinson’s Community.
For more information or to register, visit Parkinson.org/Iowa. There is no charge to attend, but registration is required. The program is open to people with Parkinson's, their families, friends, medical providers/practitioners, and the community.
