Earth Day Celebration of The Canticle of the Creatures at Prairiewoods (in person)

Join Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) as we honor the beauty of creation and our shared responsibility to protect it. This special Earth Day walk celebrates the interconnectedness of all life, inspired by the timeless words of St. Francis of Assisi. It will include a reflective reading of The Canticle of the Creatures, which was written by St. Francis 800 years ago; a guided walk through the Prairiewoods trails; and a community prayer and commitment to care for our planet. Let’s come together in gratitude for our common home and embrace the spirit of stewardship and harmony with all of nature. All are welcome to this celebration of Earth, nature and faith! These walks (offered at both noon and 5 p.m.) will be facilitated by Christine Kirpes and Leslie Schwarting. A free-will offering will be accepted, and registration is requested.
