Earth Day Celebration

Celebrate Earth Day with the Hawkeye Area Council, Scouting America, Saturday, April 26, 2025, 1:00PM-4:00PM. The event is free, open to the public, family friendly. Join us for an afternoon of educational stations and hands-on activities designed to explore nature, conservation, and sustainability. Exhibitors include Prairie States Mushroom Club, Solar Integrators, Trees Forever, Cedar Amateur Astronomers, Buffalo Ridge Orchard, Cedar Valley Rocks and Minerals Society, Cedar County Conservation, Zanfel, No Coast Social Club, Monarch Research Station, Wildthunder Wildlife Rehab, ahd UI Flood Center. Learn about prairies, invasive species, honeybees vs. native bees, making maple syrup. Take a mile-long walk with interpretive signs, make a mason bee house, make a s'more over a low-impact fire, start a garden, and more!
