History of Marion Schools

We'll open an exhibit on the History of Marion Schools, on Sunday, April 6, from 1-4 pm. Aurora Costache, Founder and Director of  Montessori School of Marion will speak about the Montessori method of teaching and how their school started in this area, beginning at 1:30. The exhibit will explore the history of schools in Marion, beginning with the one-room schools in this area through the two school districts-Marion Independent and Linn-Mar-the two homeschool programs, a Montessori school, and even the old St. Berchman's boarding school.
