Summer Youth Art Camps at ICCGS–for ages 8-15! At ICCGS, we have provided art education for 13 years through our Summer Camp Programs. In each 2-hour Summer Camp Workshop, campers will create a project using a variety of hand building skills–with help from our Summer Camp Instructor. The campers will then glaze (aka paint) their works to be fired in our kilns. Projects will be available for pickup 4 weeks after their workshop. These camps are a great option for siblings who want to take a class together!
Glass Centipede: Create a movable centipede from glass and wire. In this workshop participants will cut and assemble a 3D centipede using cut glass pieces. We will teach some warm glass techniques including: how to safely cut glass and how to layer glass to create your desired design. How you decorate your Caterpillar is all up to you using small pieces of glass! Participants will also paint their wooden stake to coordinate with your garden or Caterpillar. Finished projects will measure approximately 2”x5”.
All glass participants must wear closed toed shoes and clothing that covers their legs for glass safety, protective eyewear is provided. Projects will be dried on our shelves, then fired in our kilns for pick up 4 weeks after camp ends. Glass Summer Camp Workshops are for ages 8-15.
