Event Description

Be present and pause with others as we listen to how our journey with mental illness speaks to us. This group with Tracy Lees at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) is for those who live with mental illness, have journeyed through it or are supporting another through their journey. We will ground into the evening with a short meditation and then be invited to share part of our emerging story as we are listened to in a safe space. (All sharing is confidential, and no one is required to speak.) We will have an open time for asking for what we need, resource sharing, presence or prayer. We will end the evening with the invitation to share a poem, prose or favorite quote that has helped us on our journey. Tracy Lees enters this space with personal lived-experience with mental illness. She is an advocate for those living with mental health conditions. Through her life journey, she finds hope in being with others in conversation and entering into the sacred space of story. Tracy feels honored to have spent a year studying with The Living School program through The Center of Action and Contemplation. She is currently training in the Spiritual Direction Preparation Program through the Franciscan Spirituality Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This group will be offered July 15, Aug. 19, Oct. 21, Nov. 18 and Dec. 16. Feel free to come to one or more sessions. A free-will offering will be accepted.
