Event Description

Join us for an Organic Vegetable Production Workshop on Thursday, October 2nd, co-hosted by Feed Iowa First and Rodale Institute. This workshop explores the full journey of organic food from seed to market. Presentations will cover: Starting and caring for healthy transplants, Crop management throughout the season and harvest timing, Food-safe practices for vegetable processing and storage, Insights into local food distribution and markets Presentations will be held outdoors and inside, so come prepared for the weather! We'll have a brief intermission halfway through programming for snacks featuring local, organic produce.
