🎨 Art & Write Night: Professional, aspiring, and amateur artists alike, make our museum your muse. Bird and Mammal Halls will be open from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. during the downtown Iowa City Gallery Walk. Immerse yourself in the galleries for the full event or stop by while you're checking out the other stops in Iowa City.
👻 Ghosts in the Galleries: During the month of October, both the Old Capitol Museum and the Museum of Natural History will offer take-home photos of our galleries for you to "spookify" and submit to win a prize. This activity will kick off during Art & Write Night at both museums, where the Student Advisory Board will provide more information.
🖼️ Iowa City Downtown District Fall Gallery Walk: Grab a Gallery Walk card and enjoy self-guided tours of shops, galleries, and museums for a stamp from each location. Visit enough of them to be entered to win a prize! Old Cap visitors will get to see the INTO LIGHT and Night Circus exhibits, hot cider, and a community art project for their stamp. Don't miss us on this perfect autumn evening.
