Come to the first Liberal Arts Faculty Lecture of the year on Thursday, Oct. 23, featuring Finn Kolsrud, Associate Professor of Sociology at Kirkwood Community College! Kolsrud will present: “Practicing Civic Courage Through Dialogue.”
We will explore how we can all actively practice civic courage — the ability to speak up, listen deeply, and engage ethically — through deliberative dialogue. The lecture utilizes examples from classrooms and communities and highlights how dialogue empowers individuals to become thoughtful leaders and engaged citizens.
