Greene Square Tree Lighting

Kick off the holiday season in the heart of Cedar Rapids!  Join friends, family, and neighbors for the annual Greene Square Tree Lighting, a cherished community tradition that fills downtown with music, lights, and holiday spirit.

Enjoy performances by the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale, the Washington High School Madrigal Singers, festive activities, free hot cocoa, s'mores, and popcorn, and plenty of photo opportunities before the tree lighting at 5:30 p.m., led by Mayor Tiffany O’Donnell, members of the City Council, and the Craft Family, donors of our tree.

This free, family-friendly event is open to everyone. Bundle up and celebrate the magic of the season together in Greene Square.
