Event Description

Some nights are plans. This one is tradition. Every first Friday, The Ideal Theater & Bar presses a new side of RnB Night, a room full of 90s and 2000s R&B, soul classics, and the songs that still know exactly where to find you. Cedar Rapids' own Rahlan Kay returns to the decks alongside DJ VerbaTIM, guiding a packed dance floor from the first record to last call. This isn't a nostalgia party. It's the monthly drop. The crowd arrives dressed sharp, the room glows gold, and every chorus comes back louder than it left. First Friday, 8PM to 1AM 30+ Only Ladies: $10 all night Gentlemen: $10 before 10PM, $20 after The early arrival is the move. Be in the room when the needle drops.
