Halfloves is a 5 piece indie rock band from Iowa City. Each member found a passion for music in different setting and styles growing up (classical, jazz, hardcore, indie) which makes for a collaborative and unique range of influences and sounds. With two full albums and several singles produced by Brandon Darner (prod. of Imagine Dragons, Dave Keuning of the Killers, etc.) Halfloves have gotten attention from a wide variety of music critics including Anthony Fantano (The Needle Drop) who likened the bands song A Little Lie to Brit rock legends Radiohead.

Singer-songwriter Dick Prall is what they call a "musician's musician". Never the flashiest or most recognizable guy on the block, bring his name up in any group of musicians who know him and you'll get the same reaction: "Man, this guy is good". Prall's sound has enamored listeners with melodies and lyrics that work their way deep into your chest and set up camp. Reminiscent of William Elliot Whitmore with a more refined pop sensibility, Prall's work captures the paradox of loving and longing in a way that keeps you singing along while driving a stake through your heart.

This is a General Admisison seated show held in the Main Theater of CSPS Hall. Doors will open 1 hour before showtime.
